A bit about me…
My career has never followed much of a straight line, and I think I prefer it that way.
I started out as a French teacher, have lived and worked abroad, and somehow found my way through education, communications, marketing and community work before eventually becoming a business owner and Justice of the Peace.
The common thread is probably people. I like meeting them, connecting them, hearing their ideas and, very often, saying, “Okay, but what if we actually did that?”
That has led to starting businesses, getting involved in my community, serving on the board of the Annapolis Valley Chamber of Commerce and now chairing the Wolfville Business Development Corporation. I have a hard time leaving a good idea alone.
Outside of work, I'm raising three feminists, attempting to improve my golf game, working out, cooking, cycling, travelling when I can, and usually plotting the next thing.
I like good food, good people, being busy, making things happen and doing work that feels like it matters.
So far, it's made for a pretty interesting life.
